D8t

I have raced this truck 1 time now and for me it feels like a truck that anyone could pick up, even a beginer, and push it very hard. I used the box setup and it is very easy to drive. It also seems very durable as well. I would recomend this truck for anyone, for 1 the price is outstanding for a truggy, 2, it is easy to drive. What does everyone else think about this truck?

I picked up mine off the bay for a fraction and so I still need to put stuff in it! I don't have any nitro stuff yet. I have been reading till my eyes bleed trying to get information! I already have a spektrum and good servos, just need to figure out a motor and pipe combo.

There are many good choices out there as far as a engine and pipe goes! Ask 10 different people get 10 different awnsers! I like os myself but thats just me!

Yeah I hear that. I've already asked 5 people, and got 5 different answers! I just received my truck yesterday and its very clean! Awesome shape with nothing broken or abused! I definately have to get a new body, the one on it is hammered!

Just got my body back from the painter. Waiting for my wing skin and will be ready to go for this year. Punisher body looks so much better!!!!
Probably get another one done up and add just a couple of small changes here and there.

Very nice body, you will like the truck, it is easy to drive and likes to be pushed hard.

Hi all,
Brand new to these forums so hello and thanks in advance.
Dangerously close to getting a D8T. I am looking for general feedback from users of this truck. I will be using it for club/amateur racing. Semi serious about the racing scene and I want a new kit that is light/strong/ugradeable/handles well out of the box and isnt going to be obsoleted instantly. I had been looking at a new RC8T Champ edition and I keep seeing all this positive feedback about the D8T. The price diff is significant enough to take a look at the D8T and use the loot I will save over the RC8T to upgrade the D8T. What upgrades would be necessary out of the box? Im interested in making it as light as possible. Are carbon Fiber shocktowers/radio trays etc. available? From where? I am also interested in how you guys like the shorter shocks on the D8T? Is there a pro or upgraded version available? Any feedback is 100% appreciated.

I would upgrade the front and rear shock towers for sure. There are no short shocks for the D8T...its uses standard length front shocks(the one that comes with the D8 buggy kit) and the 112mm/longer shocks(an opition for the d8 buggy) in the rear.
My upgrades to mine are the ACE front and rear towers and the extended engine mount. My other things I am thinking of trying out are chassis braces, top plate, and the radio tray stiffner....other than that I think the truggy is good as it sits. Many like to upgrade the rear uprights, front spindles, and carriers to aluminum but I havent and only will if breakage becomes a major issue...and it hasnt.
