traxxas rustler nitro ez start issues

I just bought a traxxas nitro rustler and love it but everytime I attempt the first start of the day, the ez start floods the engine or kicks off... I don't think the glow plug is getting hot enough. Can I use a regular glow plug ignitor with the ez start system? Also does anyone have any suggestions on a good replacement for the ez start system? Please respond.....thanks!

Thats a sure sign the batterys are weak in the easy start itself. An external ignitor will definately help you out. Back in the day, that how I started my tmaxx. I think that ignitor wire on the easy start was the first thing I ditched actually. Let us know your results.:thumbs:

I ran my Rustler tonite and it went well...During break-in, I flooded the engine several times I think because factory settings are set fairly rich(and the fact that i dont know what i am doing). Tonite i primed engine first and it started right away. I have leaned it down since break-in and part of my problem was it wasnt getting any fuel and i was draining batt. on ez start. I will update this thread with future details on this subject.
