Hi guys.

I took my car out a bit for a bash and after probably 30 mins to 1 hour I thought I should check the glow plug, when I pulled it out the bottom was dark brown to black and the coil was shiny silver but the coil was bent inside ect. I don't know whether this is running to lean or just a old/bad plug? The engine was running fine, always blowing smoke through the rev range and when I put spit on the heD it sizzled for 6 to 7 seconds, so it wasn't running too hot.

What could this be?

Cheers.

Sounds like its may just have been an old plug its hard to read a plug after it has been ran for a long . You should try to put a fresh one in there and look at it after a tank or two and see what it looks like .

Old saying goes, when in doubt pitch it out. And what Rogma said :ah1:

What motor and pipe you running? Fuel? Shims in motor? Temperature of atmosphere and altitude? What type plug were you running?
