just recently bought a hot bodies stadium 4 wheel drive and was going to change the oil to 7 in front 3 in rear, it has no center diff , will this help me or do i need to run the same oil in each diff?

Ive seen these trucks go and they move pretty good. I didnt know they had sealed diffs...but it doesnt surprise me. 7f-3r would probably be a good starting point.

There is alot of tuning possibilities when it comes to diff oil. Heres some general diff theory...it should get you going

If its bumpy or loose youll want lighter fluids, if its smooth and hooked up you can run a heavier fluid, but if it ruts up, you may want to try a lighter fluid.

If you need more steering on corner entry go lighter in the front, if you need more steering on corner exit go thicker in the front.

If the track is loose and smooth, you can increase rear traction by going to a heavier rear oil. If its loose and rutty, try a light square setup (3f-3r)

Just remember, loose+bumpy=light fluid, hardpack+smooth=heavy fluid.

i run mostly oval in eastern tn ,just was'nt sure if having thicker oil in one or the other would strip out my diff without a center one, thanks for the quick response, what about a traxxas jato ,what would you suggest running in the rear?
