Hello, I have Kyosho Mad Force 4WD trcuk with 3 gear AT and GX21 engine. I'm a plane guy but recently i got this truck. The problem is that the truck doesn't engage the gears, even when its on wide open throttle. First I thought it was a clutch problem, so I replaced the clutch but it was of no use and the problem is still there. Please help me with this as I really want to get this thing going :shoot: . Thanking in advance.
Ali.

The answer to your problem is you need to tune it perfect then you need to adjust your shift points.. If you dont know how to adjust the shift points jst reply this post and i will tell you coz i am gonna sleep now lol... I have a madforce too and i love it!!

Sounds like the shifting needle isn't set right. The REVO has a 2 speed in it and I had to adjust that a few times
Cheers

Thanks for all the support :) But I have no idea how to adjust the shift points that you mentioned. Can you please elaborate on that? Thanks again.

The screws i circled in green you have to unscrew them then you will see that your gears are moving around then pull the third gear to the rear of the truck, then you will the see the clutch hub (circled in purple) then you will see two allan screws one is to hold the clutch hub onto the shaft other is the shift point adjuster , find the shift adjuster and make it the same level of the brake hub (flush) and screw it about 1 turn in, then you have adjusted the 2nd to 3rd shift point, then you pull the 2nd gear to the front side of the truck and you will see the other clutch hub, do the same thing you did with the other clutch hub.. And in the pic the screws circled in yellow are the shift point adjusters ... If the gers dont become so lose when you take the two screws rounded in green take the Part number 37 out from the bottom by taking out the two screws on the bottom of the truck.. Then when you fix it make sure there is no play on the gears (moving around)... Hope this helps and this goes to anyone who wants to adjust their shift points on a madforce...
Any more problems i will help you with pleasure:thumbs:

Hello, i tried like you mentioned, but its not working at all. The truck doesn't engage any gears. When i give throttle, nothing happens. My question is, if the biggest gear is the 1st gear, like you mentioned, It should engage anyway as it moves in one direction only and also its working is different from the 2nd and 3rd gears which rely on the bearing thingie? Transition from 1st to 2nd and then 3rd is a separate issue here, as it's not engaging the 1st gear. Any suggestions, i'm really frustrated:cry:
