They said they could not tune the corner push out of the car and that all it's tuning options were more of a curse than a good thing.

Remember its about 80% driver. Some cars are more durable and fit people driving style better but, it's mostly driver.

I read Bess's review of the TQ...he didnt say the car was bad, but in his words its a "buggy thats still just the tiniest tick off the pace at our favorite tracks". Also "The adjustability is both a blessing and a curse."

I was just amazed that they gave it a negative review on the handling and said after a months running that they couldn’t get the right setup. Especially sense X-Ray’s website has so many different setup’s for that buggy.

i had an xb8 at one point. i was one of the first in canada with one. i will say that the fit and finish of xray is second to none. but it doesnt suit my driving style. i break alot and parts were expensive. lol. just kidding. there are quite a few people that dont like the xray. cant find the right set-up etc... plus the price is pretty steep.

Not flaming...I just read today, that the reason guys have a hard time adjusting to the car is because they dont adjust their driving style to suit the car. XRay puts the motor closer to the mid point of the chassis, rather than the rear like most cars.
Theres a new car out that has similar motor placement...only more extreme...no ones ***************ing about that one ;)
The price on the xray is steep, BUT you will not need to buy a single aftermarket item. EVERYTHING is in the box. The finest materials/craftsmenship goes into the TQ, and the car is the only car out that has a drivetrain that can equal Kyosho...most say its smoother.

I am not saying the X-Ray is a bad car. I had a chance to get a good deal on one but had a friend buy it because I just purchased the other car with the mid motor placement. I helped him build it (do to it is his first r/c) and thought the fit and finish was perfect and I think it drives well also.

I have to agree with scoobie the XRAY XB8 TQ is top of the line. It takes a little more to setup but once you understand the way it works you have a winner.
