Anyone here have any experience with these? I'm thinking of holding off on a MBX6 for another year. With the late start this year, I cant put 3 good laps in the same heat with the 5, lol. And I have enough parts to race for at least another season. Only thing, my chassis looks to be 2/3 the thickness it ought to be! These are not much more than a new Mugen plate. Thoughts, people?

IF I remember right, that chassis is STRONGER than the stock one.

They work GREAT on a 5T. It was one for sale on RC TECH

I would get the BCE. The MBX6 plate is longer than the stocker and I am not sure the specs on the 5.

ABSOLUTELY legal. Lots of folks running this chassis. I was looking at getting one because for the MBX6 the BCE is cheaper than the factory piece. I think the BCE is 2 mm longer than stock. Not much more than can be adjusted in with spacers. Metal is much better than the stock one as well. Still uses all the factory bones/CVA/CVD (whatever you want to call them).

have got a 808 bce chassi s
great stuff ...gives 1 mm more space for the central driveshafts
but sometimes you got to wait a long time to get one at home
it's almost a one-man factory

The metal that the stock MBX6 chassis is made of is pretty flexible and weak. The constant bending and flexing leads to it cracking and allows the clutch bell to come in contact with the chassis. This contact can in turn cause your engine crank case to crack, trust me, I know. The BCE has stopped the clutch bell from coming into contact with the chassis and I think that's gonna keep the engine from seeing any damage as a result. For those of you with a Mugen that are looking for a BCE chassis and would like to avoid the LONG wait that comes with ordering it directly from BCE, you can order them from TKO Bearing's website here: http://tkocompetitiondev.com/product_info.php?products_id=477
At the moment, he has 4 in stock and he ships out quickly.
