I plan on running a Futaba 3pk but I dont have the slightest bit of idea on what I have to get as far as receiver and servos go. Can someone link me to some "affordable" options?

Front & rear a-arms, buy 2 GREAT servos, & get lots of tires & wheels!
(Besides, MANY of us Truggy boyz WILL have parts!)

your gonna get a bunch of replies on servos as everyone has there own favorites i personally like and have had no problems with the ace brand servos , and the new hitec servos are a good choice also , as far as parts i couldnt tell you what the common parts breakage is on a mbx5t , most guys i race against have the mbx6t and i have only seen one front a arm break , i run the losi 8t but thinking about getting a mbx6t as i drove a friends and i really liked it !!!

+1 on the ACE servos. I run these in the buggy & truggy. Zipper uses these, too. Really throws the front around! AMAIN dropped the price on them about a month ago, making a good deal better.
Steering servo:

Throttle servo:

Get a good reciever pack. The high-torque servos really draw the power. Stickman makes a 2500mah pack for the 5 series for about $30. I get well over an hour of run time off a single charge. Just food for thought. You cant really go wrong with any name-brand, high-torque, digital servo!

I run the same servos listed above, actually have 2 sets. The older set is a backup just in case of a failure. Don;t want to DNF due to a servo.

Sold it with the Go Tech .25 and 1007 pipe, so he should be good to go for a while, especially seeing this motor/pipe combo cleared the triple on Saturday.
