Waaaaaay back when, when there was only sand, & before dirt was made, a few of us raced HERE!!!!
The last year I was there, I won B-Main, stock ELECTRIC truck, 2000!

I finished 5th in A-main stock electric after being docked a lap for not being ontime cause of the concorse event, made it in a RC Mag and all, I loved that place

It's a S.C. sand and GA. red clay mix. It looks and feels like fine brick dust, tough on tires and bottoms of chassis, but GREAT traction

& the MONSTER jump in front of the drivers' stand back in 2000. This thing was so big, nitro racers said their truck were high enough they could re-fill their tanks in the air! The driver stand was somewhere between 20' & 30' UP!

You remember by the end of the weekend they had to build the wall up at the end of that jump where people were over jumping the track, then the racers started hitting the jump harder and bouncing off the wall on purpose to set up for the turn!

YES! Remember BOTH!
Just as a F.Y.I. for the others on here, Mugenator & I ate SUPPER with Richard Saxton! (As well as getting some "inside" info!!!) Of coarse, back then, he was much BIGGER than he is now!!!! Size wize!!!

Bigger, maybe heavier, I always thought he was tall, he's shorter than you.......Still a GREAT guy, maybe that's why they called him 'King Richard"
