I am new too this and am having a problem with my truck getting too hot.

Try setting your low speed plus high speed needle back to factory settings and try a different glow plug.The factory settings are 2 turns out on the LSN and 4 turns out on the HSN...My engines run good with the LSN set to 1-7/8 turns out and the HSN set to a lil more than 3-3/4 turns out.The glowplug I run is an OS-8 and the fuel I run is Trinity Monster brew or ODonnels 20% nitro....

You should also seal the needles to ensure they dont leak air by removing them and using a dab of tire slime on the threads screwing them in and setting to factory settings and giving ample time for slime to dry.

If the engine still runs hot after doing steps above then you may have an airleak at the ez starter plate or carb base or pinch bolt.Good Luck
