Hey guys I am new to nitro I was watching videos on youtube and I just really wanted to get into this sport but first. I wanted to know what I should start of with and know how this sport goes and everything I want be a off roader or a racer. I need to know what kind of Machine I need to start of this great sport. I have no shops around me cause I live in a very small town so I was thinking of ebay or something. But if someone could help me and picking a Machine for my first that would be great thanks guys.

Since your on this site I am assuming you want nitro? What's your budget? Any idea on what scale size you after? Is there a track in your town?

If you are wanting to race, then go to the track ans see what the other races are running. Since there are no local shops and whatever you end up getting will be mail order/onternet order as far as parts, the local racers should be willing to help you out.
Whatever you get, get a reliable name brand vehicle that is available for purchase in stores( internet or brick & mortar. Beware of the ones that aree only available online through some of these dealers or only available through ebay. Parts and support will be non existant.

Might be best to go down and see what is the most common race down at your local track and ask the guys were they get their gear from etc.

I wouldn't buy a 2nd hand rc as a 1st rc unless you know what you are doing so stay away from ebay!

If it's a buggy I would do the losi 2.0 rtr. comes with everything but battery's. also parts every where for that buggy. I run a jammin x-2 and if I had to do it all over again I would do the losi rtr 2.0 buggy. Thats not a deal it's a steal.

I dont want this like really expensive car to start off just a cheap one to get used to this sport. If you could just post some that are cheap and come with everything that would be great.

Parts support wouldn't be very well for it, if it is 1/10 truck you are after thn go with the AE RC10GT RTR (Ready to Run)

So it comes with everything but the gas on amain for the losi 2.0 rtr

The 8ight 2.0 RTR is alittle overpriced for what you are after - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_44_48/products_id/37782/n/Team-Losi-8IGHT-20-1-8-4WD-RTR-Buggy-w-DX3S-Radio-Telemetry-Installed-Starter-Box

AE GT2 would be the best aswell for if you wanted to get real serious into racing you could upgrade it to the factory team (full race model)

Nitro fuel uses glow plugs not spark plugs.

You would be best to go down to your local track and watch them maintain and tune their cars and see what it is all about. I wouldn't recommend the Losi 8IGHT RTR as it is $649 and you could end up not liking the hobby at all and wanting to get rid of it (see it done alot of times) You can also search youtube for videos of nitro motors to get a better idea

to be quite honest i no alot of these guys will prolly get mad at me for sayin this but look at towerhobbies nitro st15 its a rtr stadium truck and is a pretty good deal so even if u decide u dont like the sport u arnt out that much. This was my first starter truck and it still runs like a raped ape.it has an aluminum chasis with a .15 engine. plus parts are cheap when ya break um belive me. And tower also has great customer service i deal with them alot. but that just my opinion but even my dad who owned a traxxas nitro stampede before his st15 is happy with it.
