Savox servos are the same as the Team Orion servos here in the states, although I have not seen one in person, I have heard many good reviews of them on other forums. I am not liking ACE servos anymore, they have too many little issues.

Thanks guys...

i think im gonna go with the ACE...What are the little peoblems ur having with the ACE??

Thanks guys, also does anyone know if theres a speed difference between the ACE and the Savox?

Also, does anyone know the speed of the ACE DS1015 and the ACE DS1313?

I wanna compare the ACEs speed to the Savox. On savox website, the said there 12kg is 0.08 @6.0v. And there 20kg is 0.15@6.0v.

SO, which ones faster/better???:shoot:

thanks heaps guys, i think im gonna go with the ACE, does everyone agreeee?

Ace 1015 is 201oz @ .10, the 1313 is 173oz @ .13 I believe. The problem is that they shake like Micheal J fox making Jiffy Pop Popcorn, because they get slop in their gears(the problem used to be the case) and it struggles to find its center point. I don't know how much effect it has on performance once it's on the track, but it cant help, and I just cant trust a servo that does that, I have given them more than enough chances to get it right, I have sent them back, and they sent me new ones, so I have had something like 8 ace servos now, and they all do the same thing, mostly the 1015, but I have had a 1313 do it too.

I have found that with the ace servo's even though they are metal gears they are cheap metal gears and they strip out really easy for some reason. Usually the plastic one on the very bottom goes but once in awhile the metal one do to.

Ive never had a gear problem with the ACE servo's, but I do have a 1015 with the shakes. Its one of the older ones with the old case. The other two 1015's I am using have lots of runtime on them, they have yet to get the shakes, and I even keep my servo saver a little tighter than recommended.

Orion servo's are the noisiest servo's I have ever heard...a guy here at the shop is running them, and from the start they were LOUD and no matter what we did with the centering, they didn't stop making noise. He only has one race on them so far, so no real test of durability yet.

I forgot about that, I did strip out one of the larger metal gears in my 1015, the plastic one was just fine, bad metal I suppose. I am sick to death of the shakes from these 1015's though, I am going to get another Futaba to match the 9351 I have on throttle, that's a really nice servo.

I have also heard about the shakes, but they only seem to come from the older (old case) ones...the new ones seem to be fine...

Thanks for all the feedback guys! ACE its going to be!

Thanks, and anymore info/talk about these servos, would be sweet!

incorrect, all of mine have been new case versions, then they even came out with a 3rd generation case, and the problems are still there

there was a orange tag version, then the silver tag, then the silver tag with bronze bushings in it, I have seen and talked to many people who have had the same problems.IDK:confused:I have had about 5 replacement ACE servos in the time I have had my Futaba which works flawlessly. EVERY 1015 I have had does this after only a couple of race days.

I have both ace servo's and both do twitch at center pos. But it is smooth when turning so not really a factor while opperating. There are better servos out there but im happy with these.

The newest ones have bronze bushings in the upper case for the gear pins to ride in where the older version had the pins ride in the plastic of the case, you would have to take the upper case off to be able to tell.

I just figured there is only ONE version over here in Aussie

There is a couple of different versions in america though, because your ACE Servos are called XP...

But over here in australia, there has only ever been one version...

Heres the story: XP made different servos to ACE the first couple of times, when ACE over in aussie made ONE servo from the start, XP had problems with theres so after a few different changes to there "XP" servos, the figured they will just make theres the same as the ACE servos over here in Aussie... You will also find the Aussie ACE servos, have a silver heat sink, and XP have black...

Thanks!
