Well my tekin setup arrived today.
Packaging: very nice packaging with foam protecting everything. package was not overly cramped.
out of the box the fan was garbage for the esc one of the wires was pulled out. ill email tekin tonight and let you know how that works out.
i was told of 3 guys running the esc with no fan and no issues so im going to try it.
soldering the wires the best way to do this is to tin the wires and not the post. after you tin the wire make them small enough to slide into the little slots on the post's. then heat up the wire and posts together then add a bit more solder and you will have a perfect solder joint.
i should have gotten pictures but failed to do that
setup was easy just make sure your endpoints are at 100%.
well first run this thing has some serious power and stays cool. i ran it for about 7 minutes and it pulls wheelies on demand. im going to have to tone it down a bit for the track. so far so good i will keep everyone updated on it and how it works
Pros
easy to setup
solder on wires no extra connections to come loose or to short out
looks nice with red and black
smaller then castle's mamba monster
bottom casing has screw holes to mount it to something
case is screwed together
cons
need tekin hotwire to fully program this unit
solder on connections not a plus for newbie modelers
fan is cheap but no fan has been good for me yet they all seem to break
