Nitro Prize Paks...?

Alright guys,

I got was thinking.. I really want this site to do good. And to show the appreciation to our members I will be trying to put together "Prize Paks" with the freebies from sponsors and with the $ I earn with advertising. I need your help with the details.

#1 What should we call these paks?
My thoughts so far:

Nitro Prize Pak
Nitro Pit Bag
Nitro Grab Bag
#2 What should be in them that we all could use?
Remember the items need to be universal.

Glow Plugs
Air Filters
Fuel Line
Gift Cards to major online stores
#3 Any other good ideas are welcome. :rock:

Gift Cards to major online storesI think gift cards would be a cool thing and/or fuel line, but everyone uses differnt glowplugs and not all air filters fit eachother. Maybe a gift card or a discount on our sponsors items?

uh...my Velociti 5.5 doesn't need a glow plug or fuel line...:D

On the other hand, my 1/8th scale might need a life time supply of aluminum (I think they are made of ceramic) steering knuckles...OUCH! :shoot:

but: how would it work because there would be people signing up and only staying for the packs well thats what i could see going wrong.

i think if your going to give packs away you need members who are going to stay and contribute to this great forum and comunity, i think you may need to find a way to keep people here like a total amount of posts before the packs are sent out say somthing like 10-50 posts and they must not just spam the forums have mods scan the forums to control the spam and keep it to a min level, dont get me wrong i think its a great idea and im happy to support you all the way this is one great forum and i could see it just getting better,
although the forum is dead most days i still come back and check every day and see whats been going on around the areas it helps to see what other people are having problems with and also to see whats out there in the world today in the way of RC.

ideas for packs: well as im new to the RC sceen i dont know whats a good thing to put in a pack maybey a glow ignighter or mayby somthing like filter oil or even just some stickers with the forum logo on it i know if i had one i would run with it on my cars, just some little things that people dont think are big helps but are to the new people getting into RC even a few tips and tricks of the trade added to the packs, like where to buy and how much to be looking at for some parts, i know it would help me alot and prob would for many others.

and with where to buy you could get a deal with companys and have a voucher for there shop/s and the people who get packs can use them to buy there spare parts, how much should a voucher be worth well thats up to you but i would suggest enough to buy 1 product off the company/s.

as a buisness man and doing alot of my work online i suggest you research what you want to do first and find out what people would like to have.

Yeah great info thanks guys, I would make sure that people could not just sign up to get a pak but also the new members to have a shot at one. Maybe like a contest with a min post count like 25 to enter and the winner of the contest get a pak. i want the paks to be good. Maybe a $50-$100 gift card to a online store, decals, and other odd stuff that might get donated to nitroaddicts!
My whole goal here is to have a totally different site than all the other r/c guys. I want to give to the members and make this a trully fun place to hangout. Together we will think of things like this to do to make it fun.

Anymore ideas?? Ill just have to try one to see how it goes. It will be a little while before the 1st pak but they are in the works. :thumbs:

Gift Cards is a great idea or some type of starting equipment - fuel bottles, car stands, glow plug ignitor etc. that way most cars/trucks/buggies on the market can all use them. Stickers from upgrade would also be sweet

Just another idea for things in the pak could be raw material(s) like a little sheet of aluminum, graphite, carbon fiber etc. Another thing could be a airfilter oil (someone else also mentioned this)or after run oil. Gift cards are a must though, and make sure they are sponsers of the site.

Wow old thread back from the archives, lol.

While its here ill give the updates on this. The Prize pak (pack) idea has turned into the nitro store. This makes it fair for active member to used nitro to buy stuff from the store. Maybe some of these items will make it in there.... only time will tell.... :thumbs:

air filter oil and glow plugs from a certain supplier. If someone gets say 100 posts in a month they get a free bottle of air filter oil or a glow plug. That would be great... Also a free nitro truck to quadracer111 every month because hes just so awesome :P

Earn nitros by making posts to current threads, making new threads, post pictures, enter drawings. I think the friends you have also helps with points.

i know iv found other rc forums but i like this one the best, the ppl here a lot more friendly and not so stuck up.
