hi, i got a thunder tiger that keeps cutting out when its upto temp, the fuel stops coming throught the line its like airlocked, i thought maybe piston the liner has a chrome plated inside that may have worn down, i got another liner which is just brass if i swap the liners will it make better compression?? i thought because of low compression the engine wasnt making a vacuum in the engine to keep juice flowing help me fast plzzzz

Hmm, sounds a little weird, maybe as its getting hot, and the piston gets bigger, its loosing to much compression...
If u change the sleee, i would change the piston also, and when you do that, you will need to start a FULL run in again...
Also, when the engine cuts out when it gets to emp, could u turn the flywheel, and see if it is a little hard to turn?
Hope this helps...

Hmm sounds like vapor lock to me. The carb can get soo hot, the fuel vaporizes as soon as it hits the carb, pushing the fuel back into the tank.

thats it as i pump fuel through it just vapourises and dissapears? what causes this? is it an air leak sumwhere? and the compression is pretty weak but it starts and i have got it running abit better until the fuel flow stops. thanks

The cause is the Carby getting too hot, you could get some heat tape on it, i have never delt with this though, so better off asking the others :D

do you have a temp gun? what is your normal temp... some peeps normal is 200 some is 260... theres a huge diff on engine performance's witht those temps...

If it were me, id check the fuel line and tank for leaks. Leaks can create issues with fuel pressure from the pipe. Check or replace all the fuel line and put some lite pressure into the take to check for cracks or pour seals. Good luck.....

after you've done checking the fuel lines richen the hsn 1/8th turn. I am going to assume that the tank is 1/2 full or less when you reach temp.
