I hate that. The county I live in (Butte County), has three small towns, Oroville (where I live), Paradise and Chico (both about 30 min away).
Orovilles rc shop isnt a year old yet and they are only selling certain brands because they cant afford to stock everything...I understand that. I get what I can from him, but its hard to support a store that doesnt have what I want or need:confused:
Paradise is the home of the only real racetrack in Butte Co., so I buy as much from him as I can, to help keep the track alive. He carries some Hot Bodies stuff, but nothing for K-cars. The prices are so high, most people cant afford to shop there...me included. Its hard to fork out $70+ for a set of buggy tires, when I can get them at A Main much cheaper.
Chico has a Hobby Town and of course www.amainhobbies.com (http://www.amainhobbies.com) :winner: . Its hard to beat A Main. The prices are killer and they carry most of the hopups for every car they carry. I get most everything from them. I hate to do it, but when I am looking to blow a few hundred dollars at the hobby shop, I will go wherever I get the best bang for my buck...thats A Main.
The Chico Hobby Town sucks...I dont buy anything there. Prices are too high and they dont know $hit.

We have a hobby shop like that here. When they might have what you are looking for, it's usually waay overpriced and can get it elsewhere or online cheaper and that includes shipping.

My hobby shop usually has pretty competitive prices. But thats not why I shop there, I shop there because they are friendly and actually talk to you while your inside (unlike another LHS in my area) and will order anything you need that they can get. It's just a little Mom & Pop hobby store.
Whenever I need anything that is over $50 bucks like engines, kits, etc. and they can get it, I'll order from them. But they do carry my fuel so I also get that from them.

Anything expensive I normally order it from Tower Hobbies as the price is alot cheaper from ordering there than what they cost down here and since Tower Hobbies also normally have specials on that makes them even cheaper

If you want to help out with the Mortage payments, I'll be glad to move into Gilbert, Chandler or Scottsdale.
