hey guys i saved a poor beat to death little 2004 t-maxx 2.5.
the engine is shot, when it gets up to temp it looses compression(sleeve is DONE)
idk if i want to trade it in and go to a 3.3 or try and do something custom with a BIG BLOCK (savage 4.6 or 5.9 ) i can forge my own engine mounts so as long as the teeth on the pinion and the spur can be matched im fine.

BUT i also want to lower her down a little bitte( lol german) and set it up for the local truck races they have.

so what do you guys think big block basher/ lowered for the track

or just do the 3.3 engine and find a 3.3 tranny(need it either way lol) and go for a track truck? or maybe some other set up?

basiclly making parts it cheap, buying engines and tranny's minus much mula's is hard lol so any good cheap-ish engines out there

(sorry for all that randomness guys haha):closecall:

ok screw that i found out that my local hobby shop has a spare 2.5 tranny they gave me to rip down and make an all alum. tranny on a cnc machine(im cnc certified) and all i gotta do is make 3 total for them and one for me. the 2.5's i hear handle the 3.3 engine's good anyways. im trading in the 2.5 engine for a 3.3 in may(when my mustang is finished) and i'm slowly trying to find some truggy like clay treaded tires for as cheap as i can if you have rims or rubber or both lmk !!!!

Imo, dont race a t-maxx, sell it and buy a savage x or a savage xl. Or if you are going to race buy a revo. Or just buy a truggy already. The muggy is really sweet. It makes for a durable basher too. And its a way better racer than any MT.
