This is a good question and no one answered it, so I will.
If you mean you got model 4909 not 3909(non-existant) then you've got a solution that can't be beat.
Contact one of the guys that sells UE stuff on eBay (billytrucks123 is one of them) and get your hands on a 57.5mm and 70mm UE Titanium dogbones. Match those up with 2 UE 5mm cups for your trans, and 2 UE 6mm cups for your diffs, and you'll never break another center shaft. You'll need the original old brake hex from a pro.15 or the early 2.5 model with the spacer, and a 5mm drill bit to mod it with, but it's fairly simple.
If you have the new 4908 this mod will not work, as the shafts are a different length, but for the 4909(older 3.3 model) and the 4910(2.5 model) this mod is one of the best you can do for durability.
It's been a while since I've been on this board, so hopefully if you solved your issue already, this will help out the next guy. It's a common T-Maxx problem for sure. One of those trouble spots that Traxxas leaves up to us to figure out a way around.
