TRX 2.5 (new piston & sleeve or not?)

Hey all. I'm pretty new to nitro RC. I bought a T-Maxx from a guy, I think the truck was made in 2003 thats the date in the owners manual. I have no history on the truck and was wondering if I should put a new piston, sleeve, and con. rod in. Let me know what you all think.

dose it run now? If so, just run it.

If not an engine that old may have a pretty nasty rotating assembly if not stored properly for that long without after run oil and sealed up. If its gummed up and not rusty you could probably clean it up and get it going. If its got a rusty and gritty bearing just replace the engine. Those engines are real affordable and if you use the Traxxas engine replacement program its even a little more cheaper.
