So, i just bought a jato 3.3...its completely broken in and have ran 4 tanks of fuel since the break in. it seems like the engine might be getting flooded with fuel when i go to wot(when i punch the throttle itll bog out and stall, and when the car is going about 30-40mph when i ease on the throttle to wot it will bog out and stall) any suggestions??

Sounds like its too lean!! What temp is it? Better yet take a look at the glow plug if the coils are white in color or distorted it is too lean. Make sure you have the correct glow plug installed and make sure it is in good shape Break in is hard on glow plugs sometimes :rctruck:

Is it more of a bog or a gurgle? bog=lean gurgle=rich. :thumbs:

well, hmm...it seems to me like a bog, but there is quite a bit of blue smoke coming out the exhaust...maybe it is a little rich...

TRy looking in your book and go back to the factory break in settings and start all over again... as you know you will need to start leaning it out... my opinion that will be your best way to figure it out... people perception on bog and gurgle are all different and thats too far from getting the right answer over the internet... Also my thought is always when ever i have any engine issues is to first put a new plug in then start makin drastic changes... let us know what you come up with... if you do it my way write down where your carb setting are now as this may help you later on...

unfortunitly i havent had time to run it. works been keepin me late. but anyways ill take it back to factory settings and start leaning it out from there..if it doesnt bogg i know im going the right way. if it starts doing it..then it just needed to me richer....ill post what results i get in a few days when i have some free time to run the car!:rock:

okay, so i was finally able to run my car today, and lets say that i am very impressed by the power in the jato 3.3!!:huba:....i figured out that i was way too rich so i leaned it out a bit and tuned the idle and it is amazing...im so glad i bought this car!!!:rock:
