I've decided to sell the REVO and get back into Buggies as most people in my area race buggies. Just bought a Kyosho Inferno MP7.5 Kanai 3. Still no engine yet, still deciding on what to get.

Sick! Another Kanai guy! You'll have fun with it. It's super durable rarely have to replace anything on it but the first thing I would recommend is upgrading the front steering hubs. Yours should of came with stock silver ones which work great for a while (Lasted my friend 8 months) but eventually the screws rip out on the bottom of them. Get some King Headz ones and you'll be good to go.

Kyosho makes them. They are made for the SP2 and I think the price was $129.99 USD. I couldn't find a link or part number but they were on Kyosho's site.

Nope.
For diffs try 5-5-1 or 5-7-1.
Shocks try Front 45w Rear 25w
Thats what I'm running in my K2. For camber I'm still playing around with it but right now I'm trying -1* all around. How do you have it setup right now>

On my K2, I really like 5/7/3, 60f/40r on the shocks w/blue springs and 2x1.4 pistons...On the camber, try -1 in the front and -2 in the rear, w/2* toe out...

It wasn't engaging until high rev's. Put new clutch shoes in etc. but now that problem has gone worse, when I took the clutch bell off to check the flywheel nut was tight I ended up snapping the clutch bell (vented clutch bell) :cussing: Hopefully my local hobby shop (1 hour away) has some on the shelf but today is Sunday and he won't be open

Youre not using a kcar clutchbell are you? Kyosho doesnt make vented bells...Different manufacturers bells have different inner diameter sizes, which messes up the clutch engagement point. Also, make sure the clutch shoes pivot freely on the flywheel pins...if you use all kyosho parts w/1.0 springs and carbon shoes, you should have a clutch that lasts a long time with nice smooth engagement.
RC_KAOS
10-28-2006, 05:15 PM
Didn't know that, got no idea on what brand it is, i think is was ofna. Just checked then and a Kyosho 13t Clutch Bell in Australia is $60. I just found another brand called Euerka and they make one called a Kyosho 13t Clutch Bell and it is vented and is $20, $40 difference

Shims - $16 (96643)

Kyosho Bell - $45.05 (IFW046)

Damn, why so high?
As far as ofna shoes, I dont know if they would work, Ive never tried them. I know the shape is way different than Kcar, but if the pin size is the same, give them a shot, but try the ofna bell with them...and ofna springs if you have them. As a rule, I dont mix clutch parts but it might work.

Well first time on the track and I blew a rear shock (well the oring was leaking bad) and I couldn't race for the first race meet for the new track. Abit annoyed about that but he, that's racing but I still not use to driving a buggy comparied to the REVO. Does matter if you land funny with the REVO, it will land pretty much no matter what but the buggy is a little more tricky
