Does it have to be a new motor or can he rebuilt an older one? My RB still has good pinch and no leaks, just like to have some more power!

Im really interested in anything Ed does...Chop, you know how much the M5 is going to cost?
The one thing that seems different with that mill, is the TiN coating on the crank...Ive never seen that in a engine before. Will that hold up like a DLC coating?

I don't see what's so special about a mod Ninja JX21 getting 14 minutes on a single tank in a truggy. Mine does that without a mod. Not that I'm knocking anyone's mod, but maybe it's just that good of an engine to start with.

And the purpose of the 56,000 is what? I have yet to see a mod motor, especially in the hands of your average or even better than average club racer, do anything better than a stock motor of the same make/model. If you ask me, a mod moves the power around, usually taking from the bottom end and moving it up to the top. If mods rock your world, that's great. I'm just speaking from my experience and what I've noticed in the years I've been racing. I get tired of everyone talking about the next latest/greatest thing that makes it sound like the world of r/c as we know it is going to be turned upside down. I have yet to see any mod that was that revolutionary.

from speaking to a "modder" over here he laughs at the "claimed RPM" figures whenever he see's them cos he knows there all BS.
hell i personally would prefer to work out the perfect exhaust/engine and tune before i bothered modding an engine.so i could know 100% that its nessessary lol.
but as Jay said if you feel you want to mod it then go for it!

From what Ive heard, the EB Mod VSpec head button can be used on the JX, and will dramatically increase power. Dyno proven results...You can get the buttons soon from Tony P. @ www.tonysscrews.com (http://www.tonysscrews.com)

There are so many factors that can affect runtime...but the biggest one is your throttle finger

yeah, if you want to run fast laps, gotta keep the finger out of your nose...but its better than keeping it in your butt...

UPDATE!
EB Mods JX-21 head buttons are now in stock!
Here is the dyno graph of the JX-21 before and after the EB Mod JX-21 head button. The motor makes significantly more power across the entire RPM range. The motor was tested with the Mugen Ninja JX-21 2042 pipe (same as an OS 2060) and the Mugen Ninja JX-21 "L" bent shaped header. Part number on the pipe is Mugen part # JX15001 and the header is Mugen part # JX14002.
The EB Mod JX-21 Head Button will also fit the OS V-Spec and OS Speed engines.
Do not use the stock head shims with this modified head button. The EB Mod JX-21 head button only uses one 0.004" (0.1mm) copper head shim.
For those of you that want to trade up a NEW, un-used head button for the EB Mod JX-21 head button, you can send in your head buttons to the address posted on my website. Once I receive your head button, I will issue you a store credit via coupon code for $20 off your order.
