The stock that came with my Stampede. I feel it works well enough not to spend more money on that end. Would rather use the money to buy hop up parts or like I been doing putting stuff aside waiting for something to finnaly break on this damn truck. I've done fliped it a bazzilon times, slamed it into a tree even more, hit my son, hit me, hit the lawn furniture, the broad side of my barn, and not a damn thing yet other then a spring brace falls off. Never owned a rc truck that could take as much as this thing and not fall apart

IMO the best hop ups you can get right away are electronics

I didn't like the feel of the transmitter with the Stampede. It feels cheap. I replaced mine with the Hitec Ranger 2, i know that is also a cheap one but i just seem to like it better.
