Go with one of the major brands (Mugen, Kyosho, Hot Bodies, Xray). They will be easier to find parts for and be more durable than some of the lesser brands. See what the loacls are racing where you are, this will help with setup. If there is a local crack house (hobby shop) see what they carry, even though you may be able to get parts online, there is always something you need and can not get it shipped in time to race.
Let us know what you decide.

Buggy or truggy you can't go wrong that seems to be the racing scene is going. Now as far as which one best, Personal preference, Best advice I can give you is to see if where ever your going to race one of the racer's will let you wheel one of his car's after the race. This way you can see how they buggy/truggy handles. It will hopefully keep you from buying a car off a suggestion and finding out that it doesn't work for you. getting to know the guys you are going to be racing against will also help come race day when you need help with something.

You know what I mean by "crack house" :huba:. Look in your trailer and the stuff you don't bring to the track. It is an addiction that is hard to stop. How much stuff do you buy that you really don't need? :blbl:
I am not trying to stop either

1/8 off-road Buggies RULE !!!:rock::rock::rock::rock:MOST TRUE!
Seriously, what ever brands are RACED locally and supported by your LHS is probably you best bet. The BIG 5(Associated, Kyosho, Mugen, Xray, Losi) all make great cars. You cant go wrong with any of these IMO!

If your going with a RTR, Associated, Jammin and Losi is at the top of that category. If your thinking to go with a kit, Kyosho, Mugen, and Xray would be my considerations. Thats jus my .02
cbonner is right, once you get the race bug, you'll be geeked out as bad Rick James back in the 80's. :huba:
