the mach427s that come in them have more then enough power to make the lsts haul.

Yes very true. The new Trinity ExTech .24 Truggy off-road engine runs like a rape ape. I bet haul A.S.S in the lst

the lst2 are fast as my cosins got one
the bigger the engine more power means faster you go but if you through on a tune pipe even better perfomance

Hey Osofine69 if you truely want to go faster on the track come race day. Practice at the track as much as you can. You can get all the fastest motors you want but if your not use to the track the speed does not help, Fast does not always help, being smooth and not having to wait for a turnmarshall to flip you back on the track. Oh and that trinity EX-tech .24 for the truggy is nice but a nicely broke in O.S. Speed .21 ain't bad either.

STS D28M or D30M. the .28 is about 124$ and the .30 is $130 I think and a pipe for them is like $48(same pipe for both engines). STS engines REQUIRE the STS pipe because of their radical port timing. If you want wheelies, these are your engines. I'm putting a D30M in my LST2 with a New Era Models Wheelie Bar.

First off, welcome to the forums! I hope you like it here! I thought the lst would have enough power? If not the engines that 1QwkRusty3.3 mentioned are good engines and will make your lst wheelie all day. And if your not happy with your trucks current performance take it into your lhs and get them to tune it up, tuning seems like everything with these trucks! Also what do you do with your truck? Race? Bash? Both?

bash hard ,dont know anything about the sts engines except the lrp out sells the sts 10 2 1 at my lhs,im guessing there is a reason considering the lrp costs more,:nono:

hey man welcome to the forums with that engine it should have alot of power enough! if u want the engine to run betta/faster you will have to tune it you could do a search on google and/or take it to your local hobby shop. I would reccomend to figure out how to tune and then do it your self

hope this helps if u have anymore questions PM me or post on these forums!

Most of the guys that race on my other forum use STS engines more than LRP or Mach. The kicker with STS engines is you have to run their pipes only because their port timing is pretty crazy and most out of the box pipes aren't "tuned" to this. Besides.. LRP is made my Team Associated and Mach's are made by Team Losi.. (or made FOR I should say.) I've seen proof that STS's are crazy engines - LST2 on 40 series pins flip over backwards repeatedly.. and thats only a .28.. <shrug> Not to say the LRP isnt a GREAT engine but I don't see Racers using them much.. If a Racer don't use it there's probably a reason..

associated r only the importer of lrp to the U.S they r there own company in germany ,i dont doubt that the engines u talk about r very good ,u just cant go past these specs

lrp z.28 spec 3

SPECS: Power Output: 3.81 horsepower!!! depending on fuel type, manifold and tubing
Useable RPM Range: 2,000-38,0000
Max rpm: 44,000 rpm
Engine Size: .28 cu in (4.58cc)
Bore: 0.73" (18.5mm)
Stroke: 0.63" (17.0mm)
Number of Ports: 6+1 (6 intake, 1 exhaust)
Weight: 15.9 oz (450g)

longer stroke and more ports nearly always produce more power and torque, not to mention the way and amount of revs that come out of this thing, most people who race anything wont use a rivals engine or even one that they import ,but if ur just bashin who cares go 4 power,in all the things ive seen done to lst2's this engine and the TiNi gearing ,shockshafts, etc would have to rate the highest, dont forget ur dynamite engine brace stock 1 weak as piss lol:D
