Thinking of switching my M11 to Spek. Anyone use it? Not the Spek radio, the conversions...Pros/Cons? I have read all the magazine info, but I wanted to get some real world feedback before I get my mind set on it...its gonna be spendy to set up 4 cars and I want to make sure its a good investment.

I almost went with Spektrum in my M8 but a few guys at the track told me to wait for the Pro series to come out. I guess it had a noticable lag in the old ones. The new ones fixed the problem. Im running the old Novak switch and synth RX combos.

i bought an m-8 and the spektrum as soon as it came out and i think its the single greatest thing to ever come to rc racing.as far as the speed of it i've seen no lag in speed and i dont think you will be able to tell the differance with the new one unless you have the controller in your hand all day long.the best thing about the spektrm is you dont have all the worrys about someone turning on their raido and destroying your stuff and you dont have to spend all day at the track chasing a freq.pin.so buy the spektrum and go to the track and enjoy a worry free day, that alon makes it worth the money.

I've ran my friends AD2 and he had a DX3 and I raced his MT the other day and I love how you dont have to worry because I like to start my car up in the pits before my race to make sure everything is all good.
My next radio once I get the $$$ will be a Nomadio or a Futaba.
I have a M11 w/spektrum and love it. I will never ever go back. I still have the original version but plan on upgrading to the pro before the next season starts.

I've been using Spektrum since it was first released. My first system was in an M8 and I had great success with it. I replaced it with an M11 with Spektrum and love it too. I've heard of complaints of slow transmission time but I have had no such experience. I like it so much that I just bought the Spektrum system for my helicopters

Its good to see that people like it. Ive seen lots of factory guys are using it, but 'real world feedback' is important to me. I am still deciding though, because with all the different systems out there now, I have only had to change a crystal once, at a big race, so it really hasnt been a hassle:confused:
I also have the spektrum telemetry. The lap timer is great for testing different set up when practicing.

I got a DX3 in the mail waiting for it any day now. I didn't get any of the other goodies for it just the 2 servos and RX.

Spektrum and personal transponders are the best things to come to rc racing in the last 20 years.

I have the Spektrum pro in my M11 and love it... I used this also in my M8 before upgrading to the M11. I also have the Telemetry and like Beni stated, the lap timer is a nice feature for setup testing. I give the Spektrum system a big

I had the Telemetry and was not impressed with it. the temp meter is the only thing i liked.

i have a 3pk super with a spektrum pro system for it,,, and i love it it is honestly faster responce than the high responce reciever and it is advertized for 3000 feet and 3 ms of latency , also it looks really cool now cause the pro series have clear transparent plastic on the tx and rx modules...
if you get a chance to borrow someones spektrum module for ten minutes install it in your transmitter and vehicle,,, then try it in a shekain section of track and tell me what ya think.... i would havta say that my performence on that section of track improuved drastically when i re and re'd my FM module with SPEKTRUM pro
And no frequency worries. :D

Unless your at a really large event where everyone with Specktrum happens to turn their car on at the same time. :D
Yeah What is it 80 that you can have on at once before there is a problem?
