Once I got the right BL system in, I beat the guy that hasn't been beat. I would have done it again but my transponder went flying out of the car about a minute into the race while leading...can you say DOH!

Bad thing about an 18T with a lipo and a fast BL system on carpet, they tend to have a mind of their own...they can get darty. Still, it's faster than the fastest pan cars class.

familyrc4

i bet that thing was flying.

03-21-2008, 04:09 PM
Thanks. It didn't turn out the fastest lap but I turned a lot of fast consistent laps and avoided crashes...unless I caused them. LOL

Care to try it again this Saturday Heath? lol

And how was it that you lost that transponder? Was it when I was passing you for the lead and your finger slipped and we went into the wall? At least you told me your finger slipped. I still haven't figured that one out. I think you just don't like being passed. lol

Seriously, this Sat will be their last race. Hope you can make it. Its fun racing with you old friend. See ya.

Thanks for the info, I'm all for the 1/8 LM my son wants 2 wheel drive LM he says if it isnt sliding the rear end its not a LM, lol kids gotta love em .
As soon as we get all this karting stuff sold, we'll get or RC stuff together.

ImGoinRCn
04-19-2008, 06:39 PM
I know what you mean about those kids...lol. He doesn't want the rear end to slide on a 2wd late model.:shoot:

He thinks it like full scale but I told him when sliding your just scrubing speed, he'll see this coming weekend if the weather is nice , we plan on going to H&H to watch.
What seems to be the most popular car to use in 2 wheel?
Does anyone use the dirt oval 1/8 scale car by Ofna?
I'll have ton's of question's to ask. it's been 10 years since I left RC, I raced On Raod oval for 12 years and I know the battery wars are still on going but seems to be slowing with LiPo's.
Still Nitro is the way to go!
Thanks for all the info guy's we'll see you around the tracks soon

Make sure you visit all the tracks in that area, they are all different in their own way. Each of the track owners are all great people.

If you want a good 2wd late model type car, the Custom Works GSX is the only way to go unless you want to shell out $700 for a car is one that is from Putnam. More info on that one on dirtoval.com.

All of us runs a sedan with a late model body on it. They are a handful on a bumpy track. Not sure how smooth the other tracks are but Family is really working hard to make theirs smooth with no bumps.

Since there is about no electrics, and there really is no set rule on what you can run in one, LiPos and Brushless is the way to go.

I'm still partial to electric but run nitro now. I like 1/8th scale late model but rather run my TC3 than my NTC3.

Ask as many questions as you want, we'll be glad to answer.
