Several different opinions on which is the best. Kyosho 777 is the newest and is currently the fotm (flavor of the month). But at over $700 for the kit, you could get a jammin crt pro kit and a nice .21 or .28 motor for that. I just dont think the kyosho is is worth the price, however alot of people are still buying them. Also losi should be releasing a truggy this year which should be very interesting. But if you cant wait that long, than my personal favorite is the Jammin. There is alot of support for this truck as far as aftermarket hopups goes.

i think if your short of cash the hot bodys is the way to go, ive seen them take a lot of s**t and come back for more.. i dont know if it was just badly put together but the crt i saw just fell apart once a lap.. i was in fits of laughter as it came into the pits once a lap with something hanging off.. in the end a shock exploded and ended the race for it. that was funny too  i prefer the looks of the crt, but the hot bodys took more crap so i like the Hb more.

I have LSP and have done alot to it, plastic arms, steering servo, diff oils, shock oils, carbon fiberand an OS V-spec. Thd truck kicks butt, I race it alot in SoCal and have had great luck. Its very tough and with some work handles great. Just like any other vehicle it dosen't matter what it is if you can't keep it on the track it really doesn't matter. I have seen guys with CRT's and Kyosho with hot Italian mod motors all over the track. They do not drive them well and you end up beating them to tthe finish. The LSP was the real first hot truggy out there and is still a very competative performer so go get one.

Is anyone ever going to build another dirt track in the San Fernando Valley.
Its hard to get to Hot Rods on Tuesday nights in the traffic.

you may want to check out the mugen mbx5t. alot of guys are ditching their current rides(lsp's, crt's, kyosho's and myself, the hellfire). in favour of the mugen. i did alot, and i mean alot of reading before ordering mine and from what i have found, not a single unhappy person about it. now mugen isnt catering to the rtr crowd so be prepared for lhs's to not have parts, but you should be able to find a multitude of online shops with a readily available stock of parts. or if cost is a concern then i would definately say go for the lsp. it has been around for a couple of yaers and all the fixes etc... are well documented. plus the price is dirt cheap. i myself have never owned a lsp but several racera at my local trackahve raced them for a couple of yaers.

I have to say the Mugen looks prety good on and of the track. But a few weeks ago I thought I was in for it whatching a heat with mugens and K trucks.I Qiulafide 4th behind them with my LSP.
In the main I was putting the hurt to them for the first 15min untill A stupid stupid move on my part to get by a laper at speed took my self out of the race.
So with that said I fill the LSP is still a great truck and can run with any of them with the right set up.
