That's "pipes" to you and me. :D

What do you have experience with?
What do you like with your motor?

Lets face it , buying that $100+ OS or Nova pipe when you just broke the bank on a motor is not always an option. also-
Getting T-boned square in the shiny new $100 + pipe you just fitted, can ruin your day in a hurry! :cussing:

So- It's common knowledge that the OFNA JP-3 is a good all around pipe for many different motors and the price is right too!

But-

What else works? Anybody have any good experience with certain motor and pipe combinations that they would like to share?

I have learned from word of mouth and personal observations that the Sportwerks 053 pipe is an excellent choice for many motors out there ( including the AXE Rossi & OS V-spec ) and is very affordable indeed.
I have personally tried the OFNA Hyper pipe and found that it works very well with the Novarossi P-5, as does the OFNA 086 pipe.

What do you all run? Share your knowledge here!

What's up with that OFNA JP-4 ? Anybody try this one yet ?

Not a cost cutting combo: but the EB Mods pipe with the EB V-spec motor offers SUPER smooth power delivery all the way through the power band, bottom to top. An awesome combo from what I can gather so far. Have not had a chance to compare with the JP-3 pipe yet - will post results when I do.

I have two favorite pipes right now. Thunder Tiger 2039 and 2035. Since we're under EFRA rules over here, the options are limited.

I've got both pipes on STS d.21's on short headers. 2035 has similar characteristics to a 053 pipe, and the 2039 is somewhere around a 086 pipe.

I use the 2035 in my 8ight-t and the 2039 in my 8ight-b. They have great performance and pretty good economy too. I get 8-12 Min's on a tank in either vehicle, depending on weather and track.

The 2035 is also great on a spec3 combined with a short header.

STS 0403 is another great pipe. I am running one in my lst2, and it seems to suit that mach427 really great. Good top end and plenty of low-end grunt.

I used to rock an 086 rb till I got tired of it getting killed by people with no brakes and having to replace a 130 dollar pipe. Jammin for durability IMO! they take lots of abuse. I run it with the rb s7II and has a ton of bottom end.

The dynomite 053 hard anodized is a great all around pipe. good power through out and durable. My favorite pipe is an 063, amazing power on every motor i have put it on. but no one makes it anodized and i need that.

Never tried one yet but ive read great things about the 3 chamber thunder tiger pipes. some top pro's use em and ther priced pretty cheap too.

All these pipes are around the $50 range. I dont see the need of buying $100 + pipes when these work just fine.

msr 1005 on my p5 yes its a expensive pipe but out of the pipes i ran on it the msr1005 was the best. the jp1 lacked top end massively and the jp2 just killed bottom end for durability though the jammin pipes cant be beat. ive also heard good things about the dynamite pipes

dynamite pipes are DYNOMITE!!!

The 'right' pipe for any particular engine is usually a decent chunk of money. Like in the case of the P5/1005 combo cheese mentioned...there is nothing better for a P5. Its not as durable as say a Jammin pipe, but its more durable than a cheapo ofna pipe and you can find them hardcoated...the question is, is the extra $50+ you spend on the 'right' pipe worth it to you?

Ive been running a VSpec/053 setup in my buggy for a while now. It screams and gets good mileage. I have read so much about the OS pipes providing the best ballance of power and runtime on a vspec than any other pipe on the market I am thinking about trying one...even though its a $140 POLISHED pipe...I hate polished pipes!!!!

I just ordered a new pipe today. A GRP 3009 FLS pipe, with a short and long header.

I will be testing it out as soon as weather permits. Damn EFRA and their noise requirements. I hope to make some races this year.

gatermaxx : have you tried all 3 Jammin pipes on the Go motor ? or other motors ?

If so.... tell us what you think about which one works best and how the others felt to you.

lo tec, the GRP pipes are like the Ninja pipes, the Fast Link System that needs no coupler springs...its a awesome looking pipe with lazer engraving, re-inforced stinger and a trick coating, but the pipe and header are sold seperately and is one of the most expensive setups on the market.
