Thursday: Practice (Two 10 minute Practice Heats Per Ex/Int Class)
Friday: Qualifying (Buggy and Truggy)
Saturday: Qualifying (Buggy and Truggy)
Sunday: Mains

This race is really 2 separate events in one. The first includes four classes:

$70 Entry Fee
300 Entry Limit

3 rounds of qualifying, using the standard QUAL POINT format (no rocket rounds)

10 minute qualifiers.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES:

10 Minute Lower Mains
15 Minute B Main
20 Minute A Main

EXPERT CLASSES:

$3000 Prize Purse ($1500 x 2)

15 Minute Lower Mains
20 Minute B Main
30 Minute A Main

Winner of each wins automatic entry into 2008 NCWC Invite Class!!!

Now for the second event...

INVITE CLASS ($22,000 Prize Purse)

INVITE BUGGY (30 Racers)
INVITE TRUGGY (30 Racers)

The format for the Invite class is similar to what is used in US Supercross Races.

Two timed practices on Thursday will seed drivers 1-30. The timed practices will be 10 minutes. The first 5 minutes is pure practice. At the 5 minute mark the drivers will be brought into the pit for fuel. After fueling, they will return to the track on the clock. Just like IFMAR, fastest lap will be used for seeding.

FRIDAY: TRUGGY
SATURDAY: BUGGY

HEAT 1 (Odd # Drivers) 12 minute race, top 4 advance straight to MAIN EVENT
HEAT 2 (Even # Drivers) 12 minute race, top 4 advance straight to MAIN EVENT

SEMI 1 (11 remaining drivers from Heat 1) 12 minutes, Top 3 Advance.
SEMI 2 (11 remaining drivers from Heat 2) 12 minutes, Top 3 Advance.

LCQ (16 remaining drivers) 12 minutes, Top 2 take the final Main positions!!!!!

Starting grid in the Invite class will be staggered down and quiet, meaning all the racers will be starting VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. Should be fun... http://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/wink.gif

EXAMPLE STARTING GRIDS:

Expert/Intermediate:

1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 etc. (Normal Down and Quiet)

Invite:

1..3..5..7..9
2..4..6..8..10 Etc...


There will also be a Cash Dash type race at the end of the day Friday and Saturday for the top 4 of each heat race (8 total). This will be an event of it's own

Personally, as excited as I am to race this event, I'm twice as excited just to watch the Invite class over the 3 days.
The money breakdowns won't be posted until closer to the event.

I will say that the first place prizes are:

$500 per class in Expert

$5000 per class in Pro Invite


There will be prizes for the intermediate class like tires and what not, but nothing giant like kits. The $500 prize is open to anyone, all you have to do is go for it.

Intermediate class is meant for the true sportsman and offering $600 kits for winning only promotes sand bagging which in turn kills the entire purpose for having the class.

I don't have a list of prizes yet but if we get major prizes from sponsors we will probably offer them in a free raffle.

If you race Sportsman at your local track this will be a MAJOR race that will actually give you chance to make the A-main. The Sportsman A-main at most major races are full of people that normally run expert class at their home track but step down in order to be in an A-main rather than B or C main in expert.

Hey guys SIGNUPS ARE OPEN.

Just so everyone is clear, the only time the pit will be open for racing in the next 6 weeks is for the RC Pro race on October 6-7th and Nitrocross on Nov. 1-4. I know it's weird but that's just how it ended up. Here's the breakdown:

Sept. 29-30 - CLOSED > Track Maintenance for RC Pro

Oct. 6-7 - OPEN > RC PRO SERIES (WEST)

Oct. 13 - CLOSED for States

Oct. 20 - CLOSED > Track Build for NITROCROSS

Oct. 27 - CLOSED > Track Build for NITROCROSS

Nov. 1-4 - OPEN > NITROCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS


Also, the track will be run dry for both RC PRO & Nitrocross.

Hey guys, I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to The Nitro Pit this weekend. I ran the track last weekend and it is a remarkable track, huge air...I'm not kidding at all. 30 feet of air.

Be sure to tune in to Liverc.com and Neo-buggy throughout the race, they should have coverage.

Hey AZ, sorry about your luck in the C. Believe it or not....I was rootin for ya! I thought you had the bump:shoot: I would have been pretty :cussing:

Thanks, I was pretty upset. I was right in the front the first lap but got nailed and pushed to the back and worked my way back up. I would of qualified for atleast the B-Main but my car broke both qualifiers that I finished.

Whatever it happens, I wrenched on my car all Saturday night (till about 3am) and drove the best I could and my buddy drove 115mph the whole way to the track so I could make my main but it just didnt work out. Over all I had a fun weekend thats all that matters.
