Some of the team drivers received test versions of the DX3R radios last week and used them at local races over the weekend. They're VERY light, I heard a lot of people ask, "Are the batteries really in here?" I used one in my 8ight-T through (3) 6 min. qualifiers and a 15 minute main and had no issues getting used to the radio (I normally use a JR Z-1). Qualified #2 out of 4 trucks (first time driving the truck and actually broke the engine in there at the track), ran 2nd for most of the main til I made a bunch of driver errors and ended up 3rd by a couple seconds.

No, they are expected to be released sometime around October. There are several team members/racers who are testing pre-production radios before they are released.

Hopefully this weekend! Been swamped with stuff at home and have been running mostly around the house. I may run the memorial race this weekend at Mahomet depending on the weather. Right now they are calling for rain on Saturday.

Anyone heard any comments on them? I had the DX2 with my CRT.5 and didn't like it that much, felt cheap (even though it is a cheapish radio) Really like the look of this radio about from the chrome in centre of wheel.

If you get one buy an extra receiver with it, then you can send it in and get another receiver for free. If you buy 2 receivers with it, you get 2 for free, but no more then that. Makes teh receivers worth about $50 a pop new.

Anyone have any idea why the DX3R can only be bought it Australia and can't be bought from overseas? Other radios are fine, just not this one

probably has something to do with the frequency on the radio... if the dx3r has the same throttle and brake feel as the dx2 and dx3 did i wouldn't spend my money that was my biggest complaint was that the throttle/brake was just 2 far of a difference. just my 29 cents

Has to do not with the frequency but the strength of the signal. All countries have their own rules. If you look at most any electrical item there are several certifications on the tag. CE is for EU. UL or FCC is for US. Don't know what it is for Australia.

Yeah, just don't know why that is the only radio. They are available in Australia just curious on why you can't get one sent here from overseas
