Ok, so I get it tuned to where I've got a really nice smoke trail at WOT and no dipping in RPM at idle, but now the idle won't come down. I keep backing out the idle screw but the idle stays up. I can get the idle to come down by richening the LSN an 1/8 of a turn, but then it dies.

Any suggestions?

is your controler set at 50/50 or 70/30 ?

is there any binding in the linkage, that keeps the carb from closing all the way???

its set at 50/50 and there's nothing binding. I will check the bushings tonight.

Is the engine old? does it have pinch left in it?

My P5 did the same thing, not matter what i did the idle was high.

how long does the idle stay high...after a WOT run, the idle should be 'high' for about 5-7 seconds, then drop on its own. If it doesnt, richen the LSN 1/16 of a turn.

Also try richening the HSN 1/16....sounds like you might have a fat top, and a lean bottom

richen your lsn again and turn your idle up alittle, if it dies when you hit the brakes, your idle is a little low

OK, I got it figured out. I was running the LSN a little on the lean side and the idle was set just a 1/16 of a turn too low. I got everything dialed in tonight and the truck an beautifully.

Thansk again for the responses.
