I know it is not electric but was one very popular kit and is still is popular and well known

One of the most representative American pickup trucks, the Ford F350, is now available as an electric R/C assembly kit. Precision molding has given us a truly accurate reproduction of the truck’s imposing, dominant form. Front grille and bumper are made of metal-plated parts for flashy and stylish look. Chassis features ladder frame with leaf rigid suspension. Loads of metal parts are appropriate for this heavy-duty truck. 3-step transmission enables gear changing even while running for realistic and satisfying R/C action.

About the Model
Includes slipper clutch as standard part to protect gears during tough off-road running.
Full-time 4WD system guarantees excellent driving performance.
F/R leaf-rigid suspension can deal with anything the road throws at it.
May be used with separately sold Multifunctional Control Unit (planned for release in late summer 2006)

I have an old toyota bruiser and a monster beetle that I bought in the late 80's. I think it was about $400 at the time without a radio. They've been sitting in my basement for the last 15 years. I'm just getting back into r/c stuff because my daughter found them and asked if they still work. For some reason all the radio equipment doesn't work anymore. So I got a new radio for the beetle and that works fine, but haven't messed with the bruiser yet. From what I remember, it was too fast in high gear and would roll when trying to turn even slightly. I used to keep in in 4wd and play in the mud.

attachments are disabled for now, if you have a place to upload them to like http://photobucket.com/ and then just link to them using the little globe button here.

Well used and abused beetle

Bruiser that needs work. The tires are all flat spotted from sitting in the same place for so long and needs new radio equipment

And the t-maxx I just picked up.

The bruiser was nice in it's day, but very heavy. it's got a full metal frame with leaf spring suspension like a real truck. It's also very top heavy and rolls over easily. The t-maxx could run circles around it. I should restore it and either display or sell it.
