I read that anything over 150 oz. is overkill for a buggy...but it cant hurt to have more torque than you need. You want speed....When I get a new steering servo, Im getting a JR 9000s.

I have the Ace DS1015 on my mugen mbx5t, its super sweet! tons of torque and really fast. Its so smooth that with the switch turned off, you think the linkage has come off when you turn the wheels by hand. you will want this servo when you go race at MMS because of the quick change in directions.

I run the Futaba S95351 (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/6000) in my buggy and truggy for steering and love it! It throws the whole front end of my truggy around. It has 192 oz of tourque and doesnt make one sound at all when it sits still. Unlike alot of the annoying buzzing that the other digitals make.
JR wise, I would like to see how the DS8611A (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_61_100/products_id/9459) is. A-Main just got them in and it has 320 oz's of tourque!

Also, I have heard Hitec has the best customer service, ever. If you ever have a problem send it to them and they will fix it free of charge. It's just there warranty.

wow...that's weird. Hitec is usually really good and fixin stuff for free. I've got two hitec titanium geared servos on mine, the 5997 for steering and 5998 for throttle/brake. Had it the other way around, but the 5997 didn't seem to want to pull the brakes tight enough, so i switched them around. No problems with any of them. In fact, my T4 is the only car i own that doesn't have a hitec servo on it. Really can't beat hitec's servos for the price. I've also got a 5996 on my TC4, and a 5925 on my XXX4 G+. The T4 has a Futaba 9451, personally, i think the best bang for the buck, but not powerful enough for 1/8th scale. That thing is wicked fast!

anyone know how to get the nylon 1st gear for the Futaba S9451 servo without buying the whole replacement gear set ????
I don't want to spend aprox $ 25-35 for the replacement set when I only need the one plastic gear! It's not even my servo, just a loaner I broke.
little help......anyone.......anyone......Beuller.......B euller.........

Just put a ACE 1015 in my buggy, 200oz, .10...its faster than anything else Ive ever used, and Im going to put it through hell this weekend. If its anything like my other ACE servos (1313), it should be awesome.
