Jake after run oil is to coat your inner parts of your engine once your done running for the day, you shouldnt put it in after every run.
I run after run oil after the night is over and im done running

I only drop mine in form the glow plug hole. I noticed the ARO would swell and eat my o-ring in my carbs.

Ive heard you can use 3-in-1 oil or handy oil as after run oil. Has anyone heard of this?
Cheers

I've heard of 3 in 1 oil being used, but I never saw what it did over a long haul.
Most ARO is Marval Mystery oil with Automatic trans fluid. Sounds wierd.
I've used Tinity After run oil for over 5 years now and it works great.

Yeah but Marval Mystery oil isn't avaliable in Australia. If it was i could just mix some up

Do you turn your engine over after putting the oil in or do you just turn the flywheel over by hand?
Cheers

i use WD40. Traxxis recomends it on their stuff. it is cheap, easy to get and use. i more or less flush the eng with it. i remove the air filter, loosen the glo plug and spray wd40 into carb and turn eng over at the same time till wd40 is being pushed past the glo plug. then retighten plug and replace air filter. when eng is next run, the glo plug has to be removed and eng spun until excess fluid is removed.:D

wd-40 works great to it displaces moisture in your engine and oils it too:thumbs: :huba: :D

WD40 will rot out rubber seals and o-rings...if you have a motor with a filled crank it will also ruin the epoxy they fill the crank with. Kerosene does bad things to rubber and WD has kerosene in it.
Mineral oil is the best thing to use as ARO, but I dont use it....just one more reason to run Sidewinder!
When you put the ARO in the motor, its important to put it in through the carb, but use a small applicator bottle, like the little Trinity oil bottles with a needle tip and open up the slide and drop the oil directly into the crank port, tilt the car so the oil runs into the case, then turn the motor over to distribute it.

I have always been told that WD-40 is a big NO-NO as after run.
Could you just add a certain amount of after run oil to fuel then? Or when the tank is low but a few drops in the tank?
Cheers

No, dont add ARO to your fuel. Just apply it like I mentioned above, if the car is going to sit longer than a couple days between runs.

I second the Sidewinder = no ARO. I both 20% and 30% for the past 2 years and I have never had a problem. My RC10GT has a stock engine with some interior work done. I just fired it up last week after sitting 6 months. Two pulls and it started.
