So, i'm been having one hell of a time try to start my 8ight these days with the starter box I own. Since the flywheel hole is small that other buggy's, is it better to get a starter box that has a smaller rubber wheel or a larger rubber wheel? Gel cell or Stock pack? Giant motor or single 750 motor or the twin 540 motors? a 1500 stock pack or a 3600 stick pack?

There may be a whole lot of questions here but I'm will to try just about anything else at the moment.

I use this LRP box
It has a 750 motor and a small enough wheel to fit the 8ight.

you could cut some chasis out see were it is hiting and cut with a dremel then it will fit. and it could be weight reduction:thumbs: .i wouldnt buy another starter box .

I agree. Don't replace your box just carefully file or dremel the slot for the flywheel so that the bigger wheel can reach. You don't have to make the slot bigger, just bevel the edges in-line with the wheel and definetly set it up on your box with the motor removed so you get it perfectly centered.
Good luck

well I need to buy a new box anyways because I pulled the box I use for my hellfire and set it up for my 8ight. I want to use my old box for my hellfire and get a new one for the 8ight. I really don't want to take any material away from the chassis.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm thinking about getting a second box for my muggy. I don't want the hassle of having to change the setup of the box every two times I'm out.

I've heard plenty of good things about it.

The one I'm bidding on is model #10246, or #10247, the add doesn't say, but that's what it looks like in the pics, it's the stainless steel one, with one 750 motor.
Here's a link to it.

thats a good box but I would suggest getting a spare belt for it. My stretched out way too fast.
