Being a musician, my tastes vary greatly. From the Beatles and Zeppelin, to Pantera and SOAD, and everything in between. I even like some bluegrass/country stuff...Alison Krauss is AWESOME! Im not much of a Rap/R&B fan, but there are some songs by various artists that I like...

The way I see it, music is music, some is better than others, but all of it has something in there to be appreciated. Ill listen to anything and give it a fair chance.

Not all but it does happen that I put on some classical while lying down on the sofa with my eyes closed. It is rare though.

When I'm in that mood, I usually put on some Joe Satriani or Eric Johnson. I like instrumental rock allot.

Scoob I'm not into shredding. At least not the constant sweeps that Yngwie does. To me all he does is speed up some classical pieces. Now Cliffs of Dover that's classic rock. :rock:

I just finished converting all my cd's(200) to flac, and can now play them through my hacked Apple TV connected to a NAS.

Check this link with Yngwie. The dude couldn't play soft to save his life. He has no Dynamic range IMO. But he is fast, I'll give you that.

Yngwie does a little more than speed them up, but I understand where youre coming from...Shred aint for everyone. 'Cliffs' is a bad ass jam...

I just brought Yngwie up cause of the mention of classical...classical doesnt have to be all about strings and orchestras.
