Wonder if it will have the same problem like the 8ight buggy does of killing throttle servos

If they were smart they would make absolute sure that it wasn't like the buggy with servo's before they released it.
The 8ight-T doesn't come with a engine or servos.
So the servo issue will be nonexistant as far as losi is concerned. It will be up to the individual to figure out a setup that works. This is just my opinion.

The RTR servos in the 8ight suck, we all know that. But it's not just the RTR it is also the kit. People are putting $100 dollar servos in their 8ight and they all fry. My friend fried 4 servos at Round 2 of the AZ RC Pro Series, he even got some of the factory Losi guy's take a look at his setup and adjust a few things.
I can see why Losi wouldn't take responsibility for the servos dying since they did not include them with the purchase but it isn't just a similarity that all these 8ights are killing servos, if you search "Servo" in any 8ight thread it is sick how many people have been having the same problem.
From what I have read it's a easy fix. I personally have no experience with the 8ight, but I've read that it's the spring on the linkage binding and all that needs to be done is shorten it. Like I said I'm not positive about this.
I plan on getting the truggy, so I will pay extra close attention to the throtle/brake linkage. I think every RTR I have ever bought had linkage issues. Thats one of the frist things I change. I allways tear a RTR vehicle totally apart and rebuild from the ground up. You just can not trust any factory to build them right. That's one of the things I dislike about the 8ight-T is it'll only come prebuilt. I would prefer a kit.

No, no-one has worked it out. Even Drake is chewing through servos

I have yet to experience any such problem with my throttle servo in my 8ight kit. I've been racing it since they first became available. When I first set mine up I didn't like the long spring on the linkage seemed long and decided to cut off about 3/16". I have nearly 3 gallons through my chassis and would think that if this was a problem with all 8ights that I would have experienced it by now.

Has anyone gotten to drive one of these yet? I purchased mine Thursday and got to race it yesterday. It performed quite well with my only minor complaint being a slight lack rear traction. I'm gonna try going to a smaller sway bar in the rear and see if that helps. Looks like that's the only difference in Truhe's setup from the stock. I was just curious if anyone else noticed the same thing.
Tell us more.
Mine will be here next week so any info would be helpfull.

The truck's clean, the engine's dirty. Engine's going bye bye anyway. I need someone to clean my stuff so I don't have to. I finally put that sticket to good use Matt. I figured you'd appreciate that....

Whats up with the engine. You smoke it out or something? How does it compare to your 8ight buggy?

The engine is fine, I just want another v spec mainly for the run time. The truggy is definitely alot more forgiving. I need to experiment with some different tires and see which I like. I ran some Hole Shots today and they were definitely better than the stock tires, big surprise there I'm sure.

so it drives like the buggy and is more forgiving? Damn! I think i'm really going to have to get one of these things. Is it at all possible to use the same starter box or is it needed to buy another one?

It's not possible to use the same starter box. The chassis is much longer.

Actually it is possible.
New from Team Losi is this starter box. Designed for the Losi 8ight and 8T, no complicated adjustments are needed whether you are starting their truggy, or buggy! In fact, in less than 10 seconds you can switch the starter from buggy to truggy, or vice versa!

Looks like you move the back posts up and then its set for the 8ight, then back again for the 8ight-T. Click-click, thats pretty slick.

I thought one of the only problems was the throttle servo
I got one ran every race last season with NO issues what-so-ever.

You just have to set up your linkage properly...thats why when mine gets here Casey Peck or Fisch-daddy are setting mine up, Losi team drivers.
