One of, if not THE most popular radios for years and STILL widely used by pros and fast guys everywhere, is the good ole M8! However the winds of change are blowing and the new technology is taking over. My lust after radio would have to be the Futaba 3PK with the fasst system. I also think the nomadio stuff is pretty sweet, and I am waiting with great anticipation for the new Spectrum system as well.

If I was to buy a new radio, I would have a VERY hard time trying to decide which of these new systems I like best.

These are some pretty sweet times as far as radios go!

I agree on the Sensor.

After a 50min stint, you'll appreciate the ergonomics of it.

at large races you see mostly the M11, 3PK, and the EX-10/jr equivalent, less seen, but still there is the DX3R.

I'd have to agree with that. I had a Nomadio Sensor and liked how it felt and all the features of the radio. Their tranceivers are a little on the big side. I had four major glitches with it and sent it in for repair with no luck. Got rid of the Nomadio for an Airtronics M11 and never really liked the top heavy feeling so out it went. Got a Spektrum DX3 in on trade and it feels like a toy. I keep it for a back up. I have been using the 3PK for six months now and totally love it. Light, comfortable, and very adjustable. I run a 2400 lipo and used the wheel drop down.
My son still uses the M8 but is working on getting a 4PK. don't like the look of that one.

ko ex-10 helios with drop down wheel. I have owned or driven with almost every radio out there, and this is in my top 3 favorites of all that I have used, right there with the airtronics M8 and 3PS Caliber. I really love the feel of it:thumbs:

Wow, I thought I posted yesterday in here...
I said something along the lines of the "toy" like feeling is really more of a super lightness, this radio is durable, Mine fell about 8 feet into an empty cardboard box when it got knocked off a drivers stand one of the first times i used it.

And I still stand by my post above the most common radios you see at large races are (no order) M8/M11, 3PK, EX-10/Z-1. You see a few Nomadio and DX3R, but no where near the numbers of those others.
