Ok, I have been given different answers all the time. I know that you have to store nicad batteries flat and store nimh with 30% charge or full charge if 1 month before use again. I also know that the voltage threshold is 60mV for nicaed 6 cell and 12mv for nimh 6 cell. But which battery can be charged at a higher rate and what is the highest rate you can charge and discharge nicad and nimh?

Cheers

When I was doing the electric thing, whether nicd or nimh, I charged my packs @ 5amps, and discharged @ 30amps before putting the packs on a smart tray to equalize them....You may be able to charge/discharge at a higher rate, but it will be harder on the pack.

I normally on charge at 10amps but after reading into it probably now start doing it at 20amps. I normally charge nicads at around 4 - 4.5amps and nimh at 5amps. Just wanted to check to make sure this was right
