I have a RB WS7 II and when the fuel tank on the buggy gets down to 1/4 it can't idle properly and ends up cutting out. Any ideas?

my revo did the same thing, until i switched to a different tank, i don't really know why it stopped, the only thing i could think off is maybe the tube in the tank has a little crack in it and it would suck some air at times, or maybe the in the tank filter is full so crap on the bottom, so it can't suck fuel when it gets low ??

i have ran into this also. I changed fuel lines and tank and the issue was solved. maybe a air leak that caused the backpressure to drop too low to push fuel to the motor.

Savages have a thing called Half tank lean as most of you ppl might know, its because the bottom half of the tank is just half the size of the top imo and its low too.. Just richen it and it should stop.. For the savages the soloution is the mid tank mod :D

longer fuel line helps out
the longer line also allows for longer run time when the truck ends upside down,

The fuel line is brand new so it can't be that and the fuel tanks looks in good condition. Do you use zip ties on the fuel line that connects to the fittings?
Cheers
I tune my engines at 1/2 a tank. And a little rich.
I use little pieces of fuel line over the main line at the nipples. here's a pic.

Check your pipe gaskets. I have had pipe gaskets make my motor lean after it gets up to temp.

i don't use zip ties, or anthing else to hold the fuel line on the fittings, i haven't had a problem with the lines coming off, knock on wood,

RMV fuel tubing doesnt need any 'pressure rings'
Have you done a pressure test on the tank?

Would anyone know if another brand of fuel tank would fit the Kanai 3 MP7.5?
Cheers

I think the SP2 one should fit and if you want a bigger tank the ST-R one should also fit.

Why do you want to use another brand? All the Kcars use the same tank.
Have you done a pressure test? If you find a leak, you can repair it. Even if the tank is cracked, you can fix it. So do some detective work and figure out if its leaking from the cap, the nipples, or a seam in the tank. They are all fixable.

Scoob don't you hook it up to an aquarium filter pump or something?

All you need is a constant source of air...for those without a fishtank, you can use a compressor with low pressure;)
To determine if you have a leak, check to see if the system is holding pressure...pull the line from the carb and the other at the pipe nipple. Pinch one end, blow in the other end and pinch it off while blowing. Let it sit for a second or two and release either side of the line and listen for the little 'puff' of air.
If you dont hear the puff, you have a leak in your system somewhere...could be anything from a bad line, to a leaky fuel filter gasket.
Fill a container with water that is big enough for your fuel system, lines, filter and all. Then submerge the system and while holding one end of the line tight, apply a SMALL burst of air at low pressure through the other end of the line (you dont want to pop the cap, or another seam due to too much pressure), and watch for bubbles....if you find them, youve found the leak!
Hope that helps
Golf Tee's work really good for plugung lines much better than pinching.IMO

I'll try the pressure test and see what happens

this morning it just wants to bog out a little and run good but when it stops to idle it get slower and just shuts off ive been tuning it and testin but i cant seem to figure it out.... and it burnt 2 tanks of gas in like 5 mins now i no something is wrong

There is a few things I did to my 2.5R to run smoothly. 1st was to replace the crap blue oring on the fuel tank lid with a proper oring that I was just from a hardware store. 2nd I took the back plate and carby off and put cooper gasket sealant around it

fuel filter O-rings/pressure pipes make a big difference to running...in a race my pressure pipe come off the tank and the call stalled and wouldnt start untill i took the cover off and saw the pipe had come off ...but it was too late the race was done!
